The Committee on Entrepreneurship, Regulatory and Antimonopoly Policy recommends that the parliament should adopt as a basis the draft law “On amendments to several laws of Ukraine re licensing certain types of economic activity that involves circulation and use of fumigants”

The bill (Reg. No. 3086) suggests amend the Laws “On Pesticides and Agrochemicals”, “On Licensing Certain Types of Economic Activity” and “On Plant Quarantine” re use of pesticides, called fumigants. It is stipulated that sale (other alienation) and use of fumigants is allowed only for economic entities (their personnel), who perform economic activity that involves fumigation (disinfection) of subjects of regulation and/or objects determined by the Law “On Plant Quarantine”.

It was noted that the bill aims at preventing uncontrolled spread and use of highly toxic fumigants on the market of Ukraine.
